Communist Party of Nepal (UML) is the major communist party in Nepal since its formation in January 1991, merging the Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist) and the Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist–Leninist).
नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टी एमाले नेपाली सर्वहारा श्रमजीवी जनताको प्रतिनिधि पार्टी हो । सामन्तवाद, दलाल– नोकरशाही पुँजिवाद तथा साम्राज्यवादका शोषण उत्पीडनबाट नेपाली जनता तथा नेपाल राष्ट्रलाई मुक्त गर्ने तथा जनताको वहुदलीय जनवाद र समाजवाद स्थापनाद्वारा न्यायपूर्ण, समानतायुक्त र समृद्ध नेपाल स्थापना गर्ने यसको उद्देश्य छ । २००६ सालमा स्थापित नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टी सफलता र असफलता, विभाजन र एकता तथा उपलव्धि र कमजोरीको लामो इतिहास पार गर्दै आज नेकपा (एमाले) का रूपमा विकसित भएको छ । यो नेपालको लोकतान्त्रिक र कम्युनिष्ट आन्दोलनको मुख्य शक्ति र मूल प्रवाहको रूपमा स्थापित छ ।
